The graphic works of Abel de Raadt have their origin in the exposure to the radical freedom of artwork found in the underground music scene.

While making his own cover art for his music, he began experimenting with a raw aesthetic reflecting the nature of his sounds.

Motivated to explore the fringes of human expression he searched for the tools in which he could visualise his experiences. Also the audible plays a significant role, as Abel de Raadt has been producing his music ever since his teens. He has been self-taught in all of his research and development.

Starting of with creating a graphic print, based on old photographic material, he studied the technology to reproduce the gritty visual style that he was after. Consequently he adjusted his tools and tested the limits of his proces in order to achieve the radical visual deformations and transformations found in his prints.

De Raadt's compilations and compositions have been published in a host of venues, including Insect Presents - New York, Rewire - The Hague, Intergalactic FM, Seer Radio and many more. He currently has his studio in The Hague, where he creates his prints and, among other projects, is working on a collab with Hessel Veldman.
